Going Green in the Kitchen with ENERGY STAR

Description:

The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care, in partnership with My Sustainable Canada are pleased to present a health care food services resource guide highlighting ENERGY STAR® qualified product use best practices, which was developed with the financial support of Natural Resources Canada. A recent survey conducted by the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care of Food Service Managers included questions on the type of kitchen equipment and appliances they currently have in their kitchens. Many hospital kitchen systems will be reassessed in coming years as the aging equipment currently used in kitchens will require updating. The planning for these new kitchen systems is currently underway in several facilities. This project will help health care Food Service Managers understand the benefits of selecting ENERGY STAR® qualified products.
