About the Green Products and Services Directory

The Green Products and Services Directory identifies environmentally conscious products and services that are leading the health care sector to a more sustainable future. The Directory is intended as a first-stop resource, so it sometimes lists categories or product lines rather than individual items. Users are encouraged to explore the more extensive product and service catalogues found on the websites of each company in the Directory.

Each organisation, product and service listed in the Directory has in some way distinguished itself as "green". The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care cannot independently verify the environmental qualities of each product and service. However, some important environmental information is available about each product and service:

The "We Support Green Health Care" logo signifies that the provider is a Founding Partner of the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care.

The Third Party Certification logo indicates that the product/service has achieved a third party environmental certification.

The ChemTRAC logo indicates that the product uses Safer Chemicals and does not contain or release any of the 25 chemicals tracked by the City of Toronto's ChemTRAC program.

Using the Directory

The Directory is a versatile tool that enables users to find products and services in a variety of different ways. You can navigate the Directory by:

1. Clicking on the category and subcategory links at the top of the directory page, or;

2. Using the "Filter" drop-down menus to select a particular category, provider, or combination of the two, or;

3. Searching for a product or service by name, category, or location

To get back to a previous page in the directory, simply use your browser's "Back" button, or if you have used the keyword search, click on the directory's "Reset" button.
